Quarry Club
The New Forest Hounds Quarry Club was formed on 1st May 2022 by Will Day MBH.
The aim of the club is to bring together runners, who could be hunted by the Bloodhounds on a hunting day. The New Forest is a unique area with challenging terrain and so a number of runners are needed to allow Hunting for a whole season.
In October 2024, the club has 40 members with teams of between two and four runners put forward every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the season.
Quarry Club members have said that running for the Bloodhounds is “very exciting” and “highly addictive”!
The Quarry Club also regularly meet on weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons to complete training runs and walks followed by social gatherings at New Forest pubs and restaurants. This happens throughout the year. The idea is to complete training jogs AND have fun whilst also supporting those important businesses that host Bloodhound meets.
